Are you bored of doing threads where you just sit around and talk, or get into pointless fights? Raids are specifically designed to keep people from NOT being bored!
(We are extremely racist--AGAINST BOREDOM!!!)
Q: So what do Raids actually do?
A: Well for starters, Raids initiate a fight against either one massive boss, or a lot of enemies. You can gain experience in your stats from participating in these as well as of course, getting a higher post count. They're meant to keep people entertained!
Q: Okay, so how do they work?
A: You can either request a Raid thread, or (usually) Administrators/Moderators will post them up at random in various areas. A team must be formed in order to take out the Raid Boss. Once a team is formed, the leader of the team will post in the thread, and the Raid will officially begin.
Once a Raid begins, you will have to fight whatever the staff member in charge of the thread throws at you, whether its flying fire monkeys, or afro-wearing nuns.
When all enemies have been defeated, a member of the staff will review each participating member in the Raid, and give them a grade based on their performances. The better your grade, the more experience you will receive!
RULES/REGULATIONS:
1: You may NOT participate in more than 1 raid at a time. NO EXCEPTIONS.
2: If you own more than one character, they can't both be in the same thread at the same time.
3: As always, Godmodding and cheating and metagaming are all against the rules.
4: If a member of your team leaves the thread, be it for any reason, you may pull in one (1) other member to replace them.
5: If you leave a Raid thread, you will NOT receive a reward for participation, even if you're the group leader.
6: If a group leader leaves the thread, your team gets a penalty in the form of something bad happening to them as a result of leadership being gone. This is completely random, and will make fighting your raid enemies a little harder.
7: YOU MAY NOT ENTER A RAID THREAD ONCE IT HAS STARTED UNLESS YOU ARE REPLACING A LEAVING MEMBER OF THE TEAM.
8: If you are entering to replace a team member in a Raid, your first post MUST EXPLAIN HOW AND WHY YOU ARE IN THE RAID AND PARTICIPATING.
9: The LARGER your team, the HARDER your fight is going to be.
